To remove mineral build-up in your kettle, fill it 2/3 full with 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water. Bring to a boil and let stand overnight. To rinse, fill with clean water, boil, and discard the water twice. After your second boiling rinse, your kettle will be properly descaled and ready to use.
